Whew..my nails are a mess, my house is a mess, and I’m actually dreaming about nail polish. Here’s a franken from a while back, since my nails are in no condition to be shown to the world right now! With the polish removal and filing of nail tips I made plus all this alcohol hand sanitizer that we use at work, a serious toll has been taken on my natural nails. They need some paraffin wax, cuticle oil and a whole lot more TLC than I can give them at the moment!
Here’s a brown I made by mixing red and green (both Japanese dollar store polishes), equal parts of each. The resulting brown was a little warm, so I added some iridescent green pigment to it. That lightened it up and made that nice green flash. You could also add a color like OPI See Ya Later, Sailor! or another sheer iridescent green if you don’t want to add pigment. The green adds a nice richness that looked better than the original warmish brown creme.
I added some brown decals and then dotted some silver glitter polish randomly.
Sorry about my lack of updates- the blog has been on the back burner a bit as I’ve been getting ready for my big show. I’ll be sure to let everyone know how it went- wish me luck!
Good luck!
That’s a lovely shade you made. Love your manicure. I like the flowers. Pretty! Hope you do very well with your show. You deserve to sell everything you make. You do such beautiful work.
Your franken is very festive. Good luck with your show.
