Salvador Dali- Persistence of Memory Nail Art

I’ve been trying to push the limits of my painting skills, and I think I reached the limit with Salvador Dali- The Persistence of Memory. This is one of his most famous paintings, with the melting clocks. It’s very smooth and surreal, meaning it was much harder to paint than more abstract work, like the ScreamStarry Night and Andy Warhol nails I’ve done previously. I give myself a time limit, otherwise I could be painting all day!

It’s been rainy and damp for quite a few days, but I’ll try to get a better photo later.  Anyone have any favorite paintings?

About nevertoomuchglitter

Nail artist. Wanderer. I'm a color-holic, in fact, it was my love of color that brought me to the nail art world. Well, that, and the fact I was too cheap to pay crazy Japanese prices for nail polish while living in Tokyo, so I had to start mixing my own. That's how NTMG began.

These are wonderful! What a creative thing to do. I have seen Monet done on nails but very poorly with just mostly looking like a tie-dyed art project vs. Monet’s later works that were closing in on modern art end of impressionism. I would love to see some Georgia O’Keef flowers! The scale they are however might be too hard to capture on a nail.

Ooh, that’s a great idea! I need to find a sticky base paint that would let me paint in a sort of watercolor-ish type way. An interesting challenge- I’ll see what I can come up with!

Now if you could do some Talouse Lautrec that would be something! I can’t believe that you could do such amazing detailed work. Beautiful.

All right, Lucy- that sounds like a challenge! I’ll have to get out my microscope and maybe a robotic controlled arm to get those details in, but it looks like it’ll be exciting to try. 🙂

Wow- you are extremely talented! And there’s me thinking that a french manicure is the height of difficulty!

I’m new to blogging, so if you want to see my (not very good) pictures, please stop by!
