So here’s some fun new stuff to look forward to in February on the blog:
1) I’m slowly but surely swatching mycruelty-free nail polish colors and will be putting the pictures up in a central location. I especially want to show some cruelty-free alternatives (Orly, Nubar, Color Club, SpaRitual) to OPI and Essie (who used to be cruelty-free but have now been purchased by companies that conduct testing). I’m using up the Essies and OPIs I currently own but will no longer be featuring frankens with them.
2) Some hideously tacky Valentine’s Day nail art done by yours truly, including some designs specifically for the broken-hearted. Is a dead Cupid with “x” on the eyes too tacky? Anyway, for all you folks who been done wrong by love, keep your chin up. It gets better. Just avoid weepy texting and reading letters over and over again. Paint your nails a hot color (that goes for everyone, not just the ladies) and strut your stuff.
3) How about a contest? I’ve got some cool only-in-Japan items up for grabs (gradation liquid, some TiNS nail polish and other goodies) and I want you to win! I like contests where I can hear your personal stories about something, or your funny experiences, so I’ll try to think of something along those lines. I’m also open to suggestions.
I’m thinking of starting a Twitter account as NeverTooMuchGlitter to show what I’m doing nail-wise and also when I’m doing when I actually step out of my nail-cave. I’m worried that my life isn’t really interesting enough for anyone to need or want updates but I may give it a try. It will definitely be nail-focused rather than personal, since I KNOW my personal life does not need continual updates.
And here’s some goodies I’ve been making for my Etsy shop. They’re not listed yet but I wanted to give you guys a sneak preview:
Some dainty camoes for spring with lace print background and hand dotting.
Some zesty black and white butterflies on a creme red background. I’ve been really into red, black and white color combinations lately.
And……these. Words kinda fail me at the sheer magnitude of shiny-ness:
All real Swarovski crystals, too. If these don’t bring you luck at the casino, nothing will!
It’s a dreary damp winter but at least there’s always rhinestones and glitter to get us through. 😉
