TiNS Pic Spam Part 1

All righty everyone, without further ado, here are the TiNS (at least the first part!)

Immediately Sexy. (As opposed to….sexy after three drinks?) Name aside, this is a perfect deep purple glitter that doesn’t look black, even in low lights. It has both warm and cool purple microglitter as well as some larger holo glitter.  Two coats with one coat of Seche.

The Four Clover.  Light green with chunky green and silver glitter. This one was a little harder to handle due to the chunky formula. Two coats with two coats of Seche. It’s a little roughter than I like, but it’s a cool color.

The Sweet Beast. Glitterbomb mustard yellow. A very unusual color- and opaque in two coats. It doesn’t look good on me (would it look good on anyone?) but I still like it. Brooke at Getcha Nails Did would probably call this an ugly awesome color.

The Viola Grace. A lavender/blue duchrome. In addition to glitter, TiNS does fantastic duochromes. Two coats here. Sorry, I had to take the photo without a flash so it’s kind of dark. But this one is very pretty, and opaque in two coats. Whee!

The Spicy Pinheel. What the heck does that mean? I thought it said “Spicy Pinwheel,” which, actually would have made even less sense. This color is one of my favorites.  Odd, because it’s not bright or overtly bold but it’s spectacular on. It’s kind of a champagne metallic but there’s nothing boring or neutral about it. For some reason, it reminds me of glamorous New Year’s soirees.  Two coats, one coat of Seche.  But what the heck is a spicy pinheel?

The Sleek Lounge. A lovely lizard green with several shades of fine green glitter. Two coats with one coat of Seche.

The Free World. Copper shimmer/glitter, smooth as butter. Two coats but I probably cold have gotten away with one.

Oh, in the interest of full disclosure, I used press-on nails (like the kind you can buy in my Etsy shop!) to swatch these,  because I have a small but nasty cut on my swatching hand and couldn’t bear the thought of getting nail polish remover in it.  I’ve been doing  a lot of nail art and filing, and it’s pretty rough on the hands. I think I’m going to start using that protective sticky tape around my fingertips while doing nail art to protect my nails and cuticles.

So, that’s the first round of TiNS. I’m sorry ladies and gents, but they’re hard to find outside of Japan. Here’s one site that does sell them, but it seems they don’t have a lot in stock and they’re pricey at $21 USD each.  To be fair, the retail price for them in Japan is around $15 each.  Even salon wholesalers charge around $10 or so. I have never used this site and cannot vouch for it, so use at your own risk.

I hoped you enjoyed these glitterbombs and I’ll have some more coming up!

About nevertoomuchglitter

Nail artist. Wanderer. I'm a color-holic, in fact, it was my love of color that brought me to the nail art world. Well, that, and the fact I was too cheap to pay crazy Japanese prices for nail polish while living in Tokyo, so I had to start mixing my own. That's how NTMG began.

Immediately Sexy is my favorite color and looks absolutely stunning. Wow. Too bad they aren’t available here. 😦

I too am a sucker for purple and glitter, but the two together is hard to resist. I paid full retail of about $15 for this, so it’s a bit of a guilty pleasure.

I love “The free world”, “Immediately sexy” and “spicy pinheel” (maybe it’s suppose to be like a hot stiletto?).

Each polish is so beautiful. Why can’t anyone else make the same formula? Thanks for the glittery spam. I’m enjoying salivating over them.

      Hi Renee,
They are a Japanese only brand, but sometimes you can find them on sites which sell goods from Japan. Try this: http://www.akinaiblog.com/
I have never used this site and cannot vouch for it, but it’s one of the only places I know to get TiNS. Good luck! 🙂
