Nail Explosion

One weekend left until Design Festa!

Pretty much every available surface in my house is covered in drying nails.  I found a rhinestone in my soup, and I had a plastic nail stuck in my hair a few days ago (luckily my guy spotted it before I went to work).  My house looks like a nail art supply store exploded.

I have designed brocures, business cards, decorations, etc. and I sent them to the printer. I have painted, Konaded and designed about 15,000 nails (literally).  I have cut about a million clay canes and counting:

Aren’t they cute?

I’ve gone through about 150 bottles of polish, a small mountain of rhinestones, and 6 bottles of Konad Special polish.  I really, really, really hope this works out because I’ve put a lot of time and effort in.

After October 25, I think I can be my normal self again and hope things settle down. I have some good stuff planned- just another week to hang on until my life gets back to just plain busy instead of insane.

About nevertoomuchglitter

Nail artist. Wanderer. I'm a color-holic, in fact, it was my love of color that brought me to the nail art world. Well, that, and the fact I was too cheap to pay crazy Japanese prices for nail polish while living in Tokyo, so I had to start mixing my own. That's how NTMG began.

Thank you all for your good wishes. I didn’t make these canes because I ran out of time, but I can make some pretty funky ones and probably will for my next show.

I hope to do well, but we’ll see! Thanks again for the good vibes from all over, and I’ll be sure to keep everyone updated!

Huh, I never knew what canes were until now! I guess I always thought they were long erasers (???) or something. Those look so intricate and cute!
