Misa Mint

Here’s a shiny mint green for today, made entirely of Misa polishes.

From left to right: On the Edge, Sugar Daddy, Golden Tan. All have a pretty good formula. The Golden Tan is the most unique of the bunch, as it’s a slightly dusty mid-tone yellow with a greenish flash to it. With one coat, it makes my nails look seriously diseased, so I always use a bright white base coat underneath so the color pops a bit more and no one douses me with anti-fungal spray. Sugar Daddy is a jellyish white with some micro-shimmery flecks in it- not a straight white creme as the picture suggests.

To get a light green, I used 2 drops blue (OTE), 7 drops white (SD) and 5 drops yellow (GT). I then added a little more white to get a creamier color.

It made a nice, shimmery  pastel green, but then I added a transparent iridescent glitter topcoat over it to give it more sparkle.

I’ll be doing a fun theme mani soon for everyone who has to go back to school! The end of August usually filled me with dread when I was a kid, because I was never really ready to go back.

About nevertoomuchglitter

Nail artist. Wanderer. I'm a color-holic, in fact, it was my love of color that brought me to the nail art world. Well, that, and the fact I was too cheap to pay crazy Japanese prices for nail polish while living in Tokyo, so I had to start mixing my own. That's how NTMG began.
