I had so much fun with the light blue nails yesterday that I continued with the same color today! I used the Konad stamps with the fish and shark and Blue Special Polish, and painted the tips with Orly It’s Up to Blue, a teal shimmer. The fish crack me up because they look so ferocious and cutesy at the same time! I think the one on my middle finger may be a piranah. Whatever he is, he’s clearly up to no good.
The base was made with Orly Blue Collar, a turquoise creme, and white creme. I thin kit was 7 drops Blue Collar and 3-4 of white.
Of course I added a few little plastic rhinestones to represent bubbles. I ordered over $100 worth of Swarovoski crystals yesterday- they had 86 different colors! Yikes! They can often be recycled if you don’t scratch them up. As long as the foil back doesn’t get seperated from the rhinestone, they can be reused. Since Swarovoski are glass, they can be soaked in acetone or remover to get off any glue or polish on the backs. Of course plastic ones will melt into goo.
More picture warping! On the larger size, it was really obvious. I may try uploading the photos to a hosting site and then using them, rather than posting directly to WordPress. I hope you can still get the idea!
I love the bubbles!
Beautiful blue and lovely manicure! The sea-horses are so sweet!
Thanks ladies! I’m doing some aquatic themed stuff soon- maybe some jellyfish!
Very cute! Love the fishies and bubbles. Looking forward to your aquatic theme.
