Raspberry Sparkle

Today’s color is a medium raspberry shimmer with lots of glitter. This color was made with 1/3 each of  three colors: a red shimmer (Orly Quintessential Crimson)  a neon purple (Color Club Power Play) , and some medium purple shimmer  (Sally Hansen Carnival, a probably-discontinued shade, but any medium purple will do). Adding purple to red will yield a a sort of raspberry color. A cool purple will give a raspberry, and a warm purple will give a sort of purplish burgundy. Cool tones will look better on most people, generally speaking.

It was a nice color, but it needed some more sparkle. I made a glittery topcoat by adding some loose pinkish craft glitter to some clear polish and applied a coat.

About nevertoomuchglitter

Nail artist. Wanderer. I'm a color-holic, in fact, it was my love of color that brought me to the nail art world. Well, that, and the fact I was too cheap to pay crazy Japanese prices for nail polish while living in Tokyo, so I had to start mixing my own. That's how NTMG began.

Like the raspberry glitter polish. Any picture without the glitter?

Unfortunately, I got crazy with the glitter and didn’t take a photo beforehand.
