Purple Sunset

This is a pretty, neutral medium purple shimmer that’s really easy to make.  I used 1/2 China Glaze Red Curl Girl, a medium neutral red shimmer, and 1/2 China Glaze Blue Paradise. Add a drop of silver shimmer if you want to lighten the color.

I know there are a lot of commercially available purple shimmers, but I thought this might be useful for those gals who don’t wear purple all the time but wanted to know how to make a nice purple shade.

After that, I painted Revlon Silver Switch, a very old silvery/lavender duochrome from the dollar store on the tips, followed by Sinful Colors Hottie, a translucent periwinkle with silver chunky glitter, and OPI Dazzle Me (very translucent blue with silver microshimmer).

I should have added some rhinestones! But mostly I just wanted to show you what you could do with glitter, shimmer and duochrome over a darker base.

About nevertoomuchglitter

Nail artist. Wanderer. I'm a color-holic, in fact, it was my love of color that brought me to the nail art world. Well, that, and the fact I was too cheap to pay crazy Japanese prices for nail polish while living in Tokyo, so I had to start mixing my own. That's how NTMG began.
