Flying Dragon Sonic Bloom

I was testing out some of my China Glaze Ink shades, which are bright neons. The Flying Dragon shade is a medium purple creme with purple and blue microglitter. It dries gritty and matte and needs a few layers of topcoat to smooth it out.

I’m not that patient, so I added a layer of OPI’s Sonic Bloom, a medium bluish green with green flash.

Then out came the Konad. I chose a circular design that sort of reminded me of Celtic art. I put one green iridescent jewel in the center.

About nevertoomuchglitter

Nail artist. Wanderer. I'm a color-holic, in fact, it was my love of color that brought me to the nail art world. Well, that, and the fact I was too cheap to pay crazy Japanese prices for nail polish while living in Tokyo, so I had to start mixing my own. That's how NTMG began.

  1. I have Flying Dragon too, it really bothered me how it never had a smooth look to it. But I loved the color.

I like the addition of the jewels 🙂

Brooke- I’m going to try and mix it with some clear gloss to see if I can get the formula to be more workable. I like the shade and the blue one, but they’re so gritty!

Thanks Jamie! 🙂 Purple/green duochome is always a stunner. I’m definitely still learning with the Konad though.
