Taking the Long Way Home

Well, the move-in was finished late Sunday night.  It’s now Thursday morning and I’m leaving tonight for New York. It’s a 14 hour flight or so, which I dread, but it’s the only way to get back home.

I am very  sorry that I couldn’t post all the Christmas designs I wanted to- my Internet won’t be running until Dec. 20 at the earliest.  There is no Internet at my parents house but I’ll take some photos and try to upload at the local library or somewhere.

But I have a great New Year’s design with rhinestones and tiny martinis with sparkly olives that I will post. I haven’t actually tried it yet, but I’m dying to do something with sparkly olives.  No boring pink and white French manicures for New Year’s, ladies! You need sparkles for the New Year. It’s an ancient superstition from…..uh….monks in a remote temple in Northern Japan. The saying can be loosely translated as “She who has sparkly nails on Dec. 31 will have much good luck in the New Year, but she of the pink-and-whites will be forced to kiss old goats every day.”

All silliness aside, have a wonderful holiday everyone! I will be back on soon!

About nevertoomuchglitter

Nail artist. Wanderer. I'm a color-holic, in fact, it was my love of color that brought me to the nail art world. Well, that, and the fact I was too cheap to pay crazy Japanese prices for nail polish while living in Tokyo, so I had to start mixing my own. That's how NTMG began.
