Swiss Miss Brown

This color is exactly the color of Swiss Miss Cocoa mix. A medium brown with the tiniest purple tinge, it was hard to capture.

This one was made with the same green of Aquafresh Glitter (see previous post) and a medium orange creme. They mixed to a brown color and I added one drop of creme white.

Adding colors which are opposites on the color wheel (green + red, yellow + purple, etc.) will give you a brownish color. The slightly gray Aquafresh green color and orange made a purplish brown, but the color suprised me. I thought it would be darker or muddier. Instead, it made a nice medium tone.

I do mix different brands of nail polish and it can be hard to predict what shade you’ll get sometimes. So mix a couple opposite colors together and see what you can create!

About nevertoomuchglitter

Nail artist. Wanderer. I'm a color-holic, in fact, it was my love of color that brought me to the nail art world. Well, that, and the fact I was too cheap to pay crazy Japanese prices for nail polish while living in Tokyo, so I had to start mixing my own. That's how NTMG began.

You did a great job with that franken! Looks a lot like OPI’s You Don’t Know Jacques…
