Champagne Glitter

I had a bunch of silver laying around, but it’s a little too wintry for these fall days. I also didn’t really feel like it was time yet for pure gold metallic, either. So I decided to make a color that was really neither silver or gold, kind of a pink champagne gold.

This one is tricky to photograph and looked more silver than it actually was, but it was a nice glittery color that didn’t scream out Winter Holiday! Take a silver metallic and mix about 1 drop of burgundy. One teeny drop. Mix in a teeny bit of translucent yellow (not opaque yellow- you don’t want to overpower the silver.) You want to change the color of the silver slightly while still allowing the glittery texture to show through.

About nevertoomuchglitter

Nail artist. Wanderer. I'm a color-holic, in fact, it was my love of color that brought me to the nail art world. Well, that, and the fact I was too cheap to pay crazy Japanese prices for nail polish while living in Tokyo, so I had to start mixing my own. That's how NTMG began.
