Hot Mama!

I celebrated getting my motorcycle license with something extra-fun. The secret to these is getting farily translucent yellow and orange polish. If they’re too opaque, they won’t swirl together properly.

These are tricky to do by yourself so it might be fun to do on your friends or vice versa. First, paint the yellow on the bottom third of your nail. Immediately paint a thick orange stripe next to the yellow and extend all the way up the the nail tip. Swirl with a clean brush where the orange and yellow meet.  Wait for this to dry and then add red flames with an opaque red and a thin brush. Vary the length and thickness of the flames. Mine sort of look too much like blood drips (not what I want to think of after having just gotten my motorcycle license). These are show-stoppers for sure.

About nevertoomuchglitter

Nail artist. Wanderer. I'm a color-holic, in fact, it was my love of color that brought me to the nail art world. Well, that, and the fact I was too cheap to pay crazy Japanese prices for nail polish while living in Tokyo, so I had to start mixing my own. That's how NTMG began.
