Hello everyone! It’s been a long, sticky day for me but I really wanted to post these couple little nail ideas for my American readers for 4th of July manicure ideas.
Red, white and blue bases with coordinating crackle. I used a Japanese brand polish. The red doesn’t really work very well over blue, though. I topped it off with a nice silver glitter topcoat and some little American flag bits.
Here’s one that’s fun and easy:
The red is Color Club Ruby Slippers (any red glitter will do!) and the blue is China Glaze Frostbite. Just paint a thin white tip over the blue, then use a Sharpie marker to draw on the stripes. It won’t stain your nails if you wear it for a day or so. I did the stripes with nail polish first before I realized that the Sharpie is much easier!
The firecracker on my index finger kind of turned out looking like a birthday candle, but I figured it was passable since the 4th of July is like America’s birthday. I originally tried to do an old-fashioned firecracker with the pointy top, but it turned out looking like….oh, let’s just say it didn’t look very family friendly.
Instead, I just painted a white line, added some blue stripes, a single black line for the fuse, and then dotted on some silver glitter. All the nails have a coat of Seche.
Sorry this is a quick one but I am beat after a long, sticky summer day! Happy 4th of July everyone!

This mani is so coooool!
I love it!
The second one too, but I prefer the first one ^^
Thank you! I’m glad you liked it!
Crackle polish is so cool, isn’t it? I love that mani! What are the flags? Are they FIMO?
I love crackle and I actually remember the first time it came around in the 80s. The flags are sliced Fimo- you are correct!
Looks cool to me. I couldn’t do nail art if you pointed a gun at my head! It just comes out looking like I had a blindfold on. I didn’t even do a 4th manicure. Just not that interested in nails lately. I’m painting them but just tired of it all.
